About HaleKai

Here we are writing in sand at low tide again… 😜

The very loose plan for this year is that we continue fixing HaleKai till summer, then launch, 

• sail up to Alaska - plan is to motor and/or motor-sail to the north end of Vancouver Island via the inside route of San Juans and the Gulf Islands, then go out to the outside and sail up to Sitka, then continue and round the Baranof Island - hopefully stopping in Pelican, Elfin Cove and the Glacier Bay
• return back down via Inside Passage - stopping over wherever mood and conditions allow, go out to sea below Haida Gwaii and head south 
• stop over in San Francisco to meet up with friends
• continue down the California coast exploring the Santa Barbara islands and Catalina
• hopefully we’ll end up in San Diego before the end of October so we can join Baja Haha to sail down to Mexico

Or as John puts it; turn left from the harbor, then make another left and we’ll be in Mexico in no time🤣 We’ll just have to wait and see how it all works out. 🤞🤞🤞
